Being among most ancient sights of Tajikistan, the Mausoleum of Hazrati Shokh pertains to the “Hazrati Shokh”  historical and cultural compound that is located in the old part of Istaravshan town. The compound consists of three cultural buildings including  “Hazrati Shokh” and “Hudoyor Valami” mausoleums and the “Hasrati Shokh” mosque (also known as Namozgoh) dated to 19 century. All three buildings are located in the semi-circle manner. Constructed within different time periods, each of the buildings has its own history and purpose. The town cemetery and a madrasa were once part of the compound as well. After undergoing several renovation works, the Mausoleum of Hazrati  Shokh has become a small brick-made building with two domes, a shrine and a chapel.
